Motorised Blinds in Garsfonteinfor freestanding homes
Curtains and blinds that open with the sun, close at sunset and can be driven from a wall panel or your phone. We design, install and support motorised blinds for freestanding homes in Garsfontein and the surrounding Pretoria East and Central area. Garsfontein homes are mostly single-storey, which makes roof-space cabling straightforward and keeps installation time down. A freestanding stand gives the most freedom: cameras can cover the full perimeter, the gate and garage can be automated, and cabling can run in the roof without disturbing neighbours.

What a motorised blinds installation covers in Garsfontein
Every project starts with a walk-through of the property. We look at what is already installed, where the weak points are and what you actually want the system to do day to day. The scope is written down before anything is ordered, and it covers glare and heat controlled automatically, silent motors on heavy curtains and grouped control per room or facade. For a freestanding home in Garsfontein that usually means starting with tubular curtain motors, then adding blind and shutter motors and wall switches and remotes where the property needs it.
Equipment specified for freestanding homes
We specify equipment for the building in front of us rather than bundling the same kit for every job. Typical components are tubular curtain motors, blind and shutter motors and wall switches and remotes. Where hardware is already in place and still reliable, it is reused; where it cannot integrate cleanly, we tell you and quote the replacement instead of forcing it into the design.
What it costs and how long it takes in Garsfontein
A connected-home package starts at R 14 900, and a combined security and automation installation starts at R 34 900. Motorised Blinds as a standalone scope is quoted from the site visit, because cabling distance, roof access, wall construction and the number of control points in Garsfontein drive the number more than the hardware does. Most residential installations run one to three days on site; commercial work is scheduled around your operating hours.
Living with the system after handover
At handover we walk through every function, set the app up on your phone and leave the installation documented — labelled cables, panel schedule and the equipment list. Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months and support runs through the same team that designed the system. Backup power is scoped with the installation so control equipment, the network and recording keep running through load-shedding.
Motorised Blinds questions we are asked most
Do you install motorised blinds in Garsfontein?
Yes. Garsfontein is inside our Pretoria East and Central service area, and site visits there are free. We assess the property, confirm what is feasible and send a written quote rather than pricing over the phone.
Can motorised blinds be retrofitted into a freestanding home?
In most cases, yes. A freestanding stand gives the most freedom: cameras can cover the full perimeter, the gate and garage can be automated, and cabling can run in the roof without disturbing neighbours. We plan the cable routes and mounting points around what exists, and anything that needs chasing walls is discussed before work starts.
Does the system keep running during load-shedding?
Control equipment, the network and recording are placed on backup power sized to the installation, so the system stays online and viewable from your phone. Heavy loads are left off backup unless the battery capacity is scoped for them.
Can you work with equipment we already own in Garsfontein?
Where existing cameras, panels, motors or network hardware are reliable, they are integrated. Anything that cannot be supported or secured properly is listed with a replacement option, so you can decide rather than discover it later.
